Carbs are not the Enemy

During my nine day food regimen, my carb grams intake is limited to 60g or 80g a day depending. On the 10th day, I’ll eat unlimited calories and quadruple carbs and proteins intake. Now, during the nine days, it may seem like I’m on a keto, low carb diet but I’m really not.

In this post, I want to show you that I don’t starve myself from carbs to keep such a low grams number and in my perspective, it’s sometimes hard to reach the 60g carbs mark! Now how the heck is that possible?

Here’s How I reach the minimum of 60 grams carbs daily. In total, I’ll eat five pounds of these vegetables a day…

  • 16oz Spinach = 16g Carbs
  • 16oz Asparagus = 18g Carbs
  • 16oz Cauliflower = 24g Carbs
  • 16oz Broccoli = 30g Carbs
  • 16oz Brussel Sprouts = 32g Carbs

Five pounds in weight and a estimated 80g or so total carbs.

You see carbs aren’t the culprit. That’s what many trendy diets and the media will have us believe, but it’s the far from the truth. You can eat all the natural multi-colored, leafy vegetables till your stomach bursts from being full. You just have to put the effort into learning about foods that are low glycemic, nutrient dense and full of fiber!

There are ways to eat carbs and still maintain the low gram input without starving your body. Give it a try and see if it helps your goal!
